This activity is designed for hospital and health-system pharmacists, clinical pharmacists, specialty pharmacists, and other frontline healthcare pharmacists and professionals involved in the management of patients with hyperkalemia.
After participating in this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Identify the socioeconomic consequences associated with hyperkalemia and how this data can be used to inform clinical management and pharmaceutical development strategies
- Evaluate the clinical data surrounding current and emerging pharmacotherapies in hyperkalemia including efficacy, safety, and mechanisms of action
- Formulate strategies for bridging the gap between evidence-based management and real-world practices in hyperkalemia for optimization of outcomes and minimization of risk
